Operação Boas-Vindas
O projeto Operação Boas-Vindas está vinculado à Coordenação do Receptivo da Secretaria Municipal de Turismo e corresponde às recepções que acontecem nos meses de alta temporada, principalmente durante os festejos do carnaval e juninos e no mês de julho, período de férias. Nas ações, são convidados grupos da cultura popular para se apresentarem nos “portões” de entrada da cidade (rodoviária e aeroporto, principalmente).
É dada oportunidade a vários grupos folclóricos locais de se apresentarem, possibilitando a participação do maior número de grupos possíveis, que fazem a recepção dos turistas que chegam a cidade de São Luís. São grupos de danças tradicionais, como Tambor de Crioula, Bumba Meu Boi, Cacuriá, Blocos Tradicionais, entre outros, incumbidos de receber as pessoas que chegam na cidade, interagir com eles, garantindo uma chegada festiva, anúncio de que a estadia será cheia de alegria e encantamento, marcas do povo ludovicense.

In the actions, popular culture groups are invited to perform at the "gates" at the entrance to the city (mainly bus stations and airports).
The opportunity is given to several local folkloric groups to perform, allowing the participation of the largest number of groups possible, which welcome tourists arriving in the city of São Luís. There are groups of traditional dances, such as Tambor de Crioula, Bumba Meu Boi, Cacuriá, Blocos Tradicionais, among others, responsible for receiving people who arrive in the city, interacting with them, guaranteeing a festive arrival, announcing that the stay will be full of joy and enchantment, hallmarks of the local people.
